Committee Overview
Finance/Audit/Budget Contact
The purpose of the finance committee is to assist with the association\'s finances and audit(s). This committee is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the annual budget and other financial matters and must meet at least twice per year and prior to every board meeting to audit the books.

Lane Certification Contact
This committee is responsible for making sure that the bowling centers are certified and lane dressing inspections are completed.

Legislative Contact
The legislative committee is responsible for ensuring the Association Bylaws are up to date and do not conflict with the Bylaws of the USBC.

Nominating Contact
This committee, which is elected by the board, assists in shaping the association\'s structure. The nominating committee reviews candidates\' resumes and prepares slates for the board and delegate positions. In addition, the nominating committee publicizes criteria and procedures for the elected position. The nominating committee\'s primary goal is to compile a slate of candidates for election at the association annual meeting.

Publicity/Events Contact
This committee is responsible for all publicity and news concerning the association and its members. This includes maintaining the web site, picture boards, newsletters, etc.

Recognition Contact
The purpose of this committee shall be to honor, pay tribute to, and perpetuate the name of those men and women who have displayed outstanding ability in the game of American Ten Pins and/or who have contributed, through meritorious service, to the general welfare and progress of the game in the area under the jurisdiction of the Capital Area USBC Association. The committee will send out and accept Hall of Fame Applications to go through the application process. They will also determine if any current board members meet the qualification for Lifetime Member status.

Scholarship Contact
This committee is responsible for developing scholarship applications and identifying recipients of scholarships.

Tournament Contact
This committee is responsible for running all local tournaments, and selecting a tournament director for each. In addition, this committee is responsible for submitting bids for other State or Regional tournaments as approved by the Board.

Youth Contact
This committee is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and recommending youth programs and services conducted by the association. The members of the committee promote and run the Youth Tournaments. It recommends youth dues, to be approved by the board. The committee is elected by the Youth Representatives at the Annual Meeting.
